Snow? In March? No chance,

Actually, it can happen. i  have been down on the South-east coast in April and seen quite a fall. Didn't last, but was enough to disrupt transport for couple of days.

reading the papers and been on line we are supposed to get a extreme cold snap with deep snow, but why do they predict this ,but leave you not knowing where it will be,seems a good idea to predict, but no good to gardeners ect ,with such lack of details apart from late feb, early march.

It's predicted for the Scottish Highlands as far as I can see.

Has Sheffield moved a few hundred miles north and got a couple more thousand feet above sea level since I was last over in December?

Cheers, @Longcol- hadn't checked, but I guessed that would be the area, as it happens most years, for obvious reasons.

lets hope if we get deep snow its in march as it goes very quick unlike jan or feb where it lingers

Will it prevent the farmers ploughing their crops & trees into the ground if there is a lot of snow?
