Honestly this whole discussion is like a case study in how some people can be made to believe and repeat any old rubbish no matter how palpably nuts it is.

I see a massive 117 people have signed the petition in the OP.

Shops, cafes, libraries, schools, doctors etc all within 15 minutes walk sounds like a good thing to me, or would you rather they were further away?

What about work ? Mines 2 bus rides away, definitely more than 15 mins.

Can I ask at what point did Governments become philanthropists that are looking after our every need because I can only remember them being self-serving, corrupt, snivelling gits, I must have that point.

It's not even at the planning stage. It's an aspiration at the moment.

So how is carbon zero going to be achieved by 2030 if its only an "aspiration"?

Anyone seen the latest council release where they are making Kelham Island basically a bus and cycle route therefore throwing everything else onto the ring road that they are not then going to start charging to use as they are would never do a thing like that 🤣
