I'm still not sure why a 15min city is such a bad thing. To me, I think it sounds great. 

Wait till you are limited to travel, plus it's to faize out cars, you'll see.

have you seen how much money we've spent on local roads in the last few years?

 

if there was some secret shadowy plan to stop us using cars, 'they' probably wouldn't pour  HUNDREDS of £millions* into  endless junction modifications, and parkway widening, etc.

 

(*and that's just Sheffield)

 

'they' clearly expect us to carry on driving everywhere.

No 'they' expect 'them' to be driving everywhere not us.
