You are making things up - Unless I've missed some posts   -  Nobody said, there was anything wrong with cutting down on car use.

The argument is  about further restrictions in movement policed by cameras issuing automatic fines for going through without a pass, and the fear that these may become widespread.

 

Forget about "what is being suggested" and read properly what people have actually said.  Suggestion is something in your own mind.
