Judging by the results, nobody.

It's supposed to be an amalgamation of Lib Dems and Labour, but talking to a councillor recently, unless you are one of the favoured few, nobody else gets a look in, it's a closed shop that doesn't like new ideas, interference or any criticism from outside.

You should tell your councillor friend to up their game then.

I do know.

I was asking whether you did.

Hence the question:

Which lot do you think are in charge?”

I’ve put the key word in bold to assist your comprehension.

It's a Committee system, which was changed in response to a referendum a couple of years ago. I'm sure Councillors have the opportunity to put themselves forward for the individual Committees, if they are able to committ the time to attend them and read all the relevant documents.

Yes, I do know.

Do you know where I said that I didn't want to pay a council tax rise  (post #31),  or are you just a liar?

I’d be interested to know which bits you’d cut.

Do remember that this year’s council tax is going up by significantly less than inflation.

Here you are. What would you cut?

People on this forum aren't interested in facts, or finding out more about how the Council spends it's money or makes decisions. It's far easier to moan about 'them'.

At the risk of dragging myself down to your level, please show me where I said that you didn’t want to pay the CT rise.

It certainly wasn't in post 31.

We know full well what the council spends it's money on.

We would have preferred that they spend it on something useful instead.
