Well we used to send our worst criminals to the likes of Australia and New Zealand, not to mention North America, so how about sending them to Antarctica?

Well I thought it to be a very cool suggestion. 😉

I recall on the Arbourthorne, they set German prisoners of war to work, building prefabs, while waiting for repatriation.

Healthy, educational and cost effective. Also ironically "Just", as they had been the agents of destruction of so many.

Days of common sense!

No Geneva, or Brussels officials and a raft of international lawyers descending on the building site, claiming Human Rights violations, and no Union strikes against employing casual workers at little or no wages.  :)

I'm with Albert Pierrepoint.  "The death penalty solves nothing."   History proves this.   Life imprisonment is a greater and much more effective punishment.

^

If it was brought back, I think it should be by referendum,  wherein every voter approving the reestablishment of the death penalty gets put on a register, then a name gets picked at random from that register to carry out each sentence. No remote activation allowed, in-person only.

See if they still feel so strongly about it when they have to do the executing…then if they should learn, some months or years later, that they killed an innocent person.

I guarantee you lots of volunteers, no need for a register!

Murder, child sex abuse? No problema!

Sign me up Scotty! They'll pay me too?  :)

Nope.

No volunteers allowed, we want capital sentence deciders to put their killing finger where their voting mouth is, not give feral psychopaths a free outlet for their pulsions.

No pay, just expenses for getting there and back. Nor counselling free on the NHS either.  😏

By some weird logic expressed here, we should stop Capital Punishment,  some innocents

may be “collateral damage”

How many more die because of crime, neglect, medical mistakes and malpractice in the Health System. Or are abused in school, by teachers?

Shut then ALL down?  :)

Not to mention by that logic, if some vaxxed die from adverse reaction, we should scrap all vaccinations.

Lib/socialist logic never fails to amuse!  :)

Yes, that's a good point.  My best little pal  moved into one of those and I was so jealous,

That was a good bit of thinking from when we had creative politicians.
