I wasn't aware that so many people from the UK went out there to fight for the ISIS cause, and like you say, why are they being welcomed back, but Shemima Begum isn't? Is it because she was a young person groomed by ISIS, and many UK agencies didn't pick up on it, and is it so common that school girls can go to Syria, presumably in full dress, where there is a war on, with no adults present? I would've thought that the security services would've briefed the airports to be on the look out given the war over there. Though this issue is nothing to do with Al Bundy's obsession with the Guardian - its identity politics and middle class socialism.
