For simple first-time offences for drug possession, it is unlikely that you will face jail time. If you do not have a criminal record, this will likely act as a mitigating factor which could reduce the punishment you receive to an out of court disposal, community resolution or conditional caution.

@Longcol- I don't buy it. Read that piece and thought to myself - what's missing here? Someone with that kind of 'one-off' conviction just doesn't warrant the 'personal attention' of the Home Secretary.

I would bet my life savings that the vast majority of the people in The Guardian HQ are white university educated middle class champagne socialists who have second homes in Tuscany

 

They all drive diesel cars and have iPhones, drink Starbucks all day and have 3 holidays a year

What a pair !    This is all over a newspaper that you decide to read of your own free choice,  rather than give it a miss.
