Whats Happening In Guardian Land Today

Crikey, their loathing of men, has really got them in a tizzy, 3 articles in their opinion spotlight this last 24 hrs, and that's just about football.

The Guardian are very pro-house husbandry.

It might just catch on amongst a certain Wokey demographic

You see the game today?

It's painful ain't it.

I saw it from my customary position in the South Stand.

I’ve seen better. But then again, I saw much worse against Stockport and Saints. I just don’t let it bother me these days. It’s just a day out with my daughter.

Big 'will this do?' clickbait energy from this:

‘A feminist symbol’: how the humble ponytail scored a summer winner

With the requisite Barbie reference too, of course (we're up to 89 Barbie articles since June, for those keeping track).

Ladies, are you struggling with how to do a ponytail?  Can't quite grasp the concept with your ladybrain?  Simply dying to look as gorgeous as the delightful lady sportball players? Well thank god that the Guardian is here to help you with these handy hints:

Quote

To achieve a ponytail worthy of the England team, Smith recommends hair that is not freshly washed and adding dry shampoo. “An easy hack I teach my clients is to do it in two stages: first, just [put up] the hair over your crown in a ponytail, then join up the remainder,” he said. “It gives loads of extra volume and allows you to pull out the edges, getting it less flat to your head without making the ponytail slip.”

As for those in the England team, Kilikita has a theory on how their ponytails stay in place: “I think it’s a good hair elastic – or a hair bungee, a professional hair tie enlisted by the very best hairstylists – a large paddle brush and lots of gel.”

"I think it's a good hair elastic...'  Well is it really?  I would never have thought of that!  Thank you for interviewing a hairdresser to get that little nugget.
