Seriously though...

- the areas around all hospitals in every city are a dump

Not so by any stretch of the imagination. Rotherham Hospital is not in a dump area by any means. Its a crap hospital but that's another matter . I could name many areas where hospitals are in good areas but cant be bothered.

Parked the car in Tesco's on Spital Hill and walked through the Wicker up to the High St.

You do know that car park is only for Tesco Customers right? - there's a big sign that says so as you enter it....

But I agree about the Wicker, and the rest, I have been saying it for years and constantly get flamed and put down for it, finally others are starting to agree! :)

Evening Mr. Bassett,

Tek no notice of the P takers...

I had to go into the City yesterday, first time for a few years..

Parked the car in Tesco's on Spital Hill and walked through the Wicker up to the High St.

Your observations are spot on.

What a depressing sight having to mix with what can only be described as undesirable people..

Beggars in closed shop doorways, druggies staggering about, shops all boarded up, graffiti everywhere...

What's happening to our City? obvious innit,

People now go elsewhere to modern shopping complexes, Undercover and warm, and full of young women wearing skimpy outfits.

ALL  City Centres are Doomed.

Young women wearing skimpy outfits , you say .  Where ?  Asking for a friend

Once upon a time, there were a thing called "paragraphs"....

Given the lack of punctuation I thought it was a tribute to James Joyce's "stream of conciousness" style, best exhibited by Molly Bloom's soliloquy,  the final chapter of "Ulysses".

Then I saw it was posted by bassett one.
