Adel19
Hello, Our budget to buy a house is limited and after a couple viewings we come down on the following options to make an offer. One is located in Dryden rd (being for the council) and another in Fielding Rd. I have a toddler loving walking and playing in the house, the Dryden Rd house gives us more space but I’ve heard Southey Green is not good against Fielding Rd. https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/129829124#/?channel=RES_BUY https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/130982474#/?channel=RES_BUY Since I’ve never lived in Sheffield, please give us some of your thoughts and opinions . MJM68
Sorry I can't help on those 2 areas as I only relocated to Sheffield a few months ago myself but I had a look on the crimerate.co.uk website before choosing an area to move to. There is obviously crime everywhere but a large amount of anti social behaviour, arson, bulglary, etc raises alarm bells. Also have a drive around at different times of day if you can.
Pyrotequila
I asked family, not knowing the area myself, the responses were along the lines of; it's not the worst place in the world, but it's not somewhere they'd choose to bring up kids due to drugs problems in the area
pattricia
I was brought up in Southey Green and it was nice years ago but I understand that it’s not so good now. The usual drugs etc; There are better places to live.
