Retail parks like Drakehouse and shopping malls ie Meadowhall and Crystal Peaks  are more secure and free parking.  Town is a scummy dump these days with loads of  Beggars and Chavs up to no good plus expensive parking.  Just my opinion and reasons for not going to the cess pit.

That's a good enough opinion and there are many thousands who think the same, including me.

Can't help it if we have more discerning tastes than Bargepole.

City centre might just be manageable for those who spend all their time in the pub      -      if there are any left, that is

Because of the Car,  Meadowhall, Asda Handsworth, Morrisons Catcliffe and Crystal Peaks are easy accessible and free no problem parking plus I don't encouter scamming beggers and the Chav army. If I Choose to go to a Cinema or Restaurant,  Centertainments is my choice because easy access, free parking.  I don't need town.

Aye, visiting Crystal Peaks and Drakehouse are the benchmarks of discernment.

I'll just stick with visiting the museums, theatres, cinemas, bars and restaurants of Sheffield and the surrounding areas, see if I can aspire to a trip to Meadowhall one day.

There's only one who said that so you have a funny way of deciding what everyone else does. Your mind is made up before you talk to anyone  -  very intelligent.

Those venues anyway,  are all much better than the city centre and Presley told you why, The number of people who visit them are proof of that.

I would say, out of that list, that it'll be bars and restaurants you frequent most,  rather than museums, which is what I predicted earlier.  nice to know I'm still a good judge.

What makes it your business where other people shop anyway?   Mind your own damned business and just carry on drinking..

I know,  I'm assuming he can't find any sheep to herd or maybe, it's all got too much for him.

I,  and my family,  used to shop at John Lewis,  Debenhams,  C & A,  British Home Stores and many other smaller shops, besides using Rag & Tag and Castle Market regularly.

You could buy fresh fish and various delicacies,  at wholesale prices in the Shude Hill / Rag & Tag fish market.

There were loads of specialist shops we used which have all gone over the years. and,  during this shopping experience , it was almost unknown to see druggies, beggars, rough sleepers etc on the streets.
Those were the days when Sheffield was a City with a City Centre to Match.  There's better shopping at some small towns now  plus law & order too.

You know this is a discussion forum right. Nobody is deciding anything for anybody? Do you take this aggressive tone with people in real life?

Seems to be your thing on here  when anybody suggests a different view, question their intelligence or motive.

Anything else, other than trawling the shops? Or is that all?
