I think you are confused.  It was assumption when she married the then Prince Charles she would never be Queen.  King Charles lll wishes his wife to have the title Queen rather than Queen Consort which is why it is happening.

You remind  me of one of those women gossiping to another woman about the news the milkman has just told her.

The milkman and the world know the truth about this pair, its only the deluded that won't, West77

It was Queen Victoria who inherited the monarchy which is why Prince Albert could never be King.   The spouse of the King who has inherited the monarchy can call his wife Queen because that is a lower title than his own.

It's OK by me,

but it will be a running sore with some every time it's mentioned,

but time will tell.

Royalists have been spoilt and given an idealised view of monarchy by the reign of Queen Elizabeth. Whilst regarding the institution as an anachronistic outdated load of nonsense which emphasises class difference to the detriment of the country I had respect for the way she played the game.

It has all changed now, instead of someone who's personal life couldn't be criticised and who kept their private opinions private monarchists now have a sovereign who married his first wife with no intention of keeping his wedding vows even as he spoke the words. A man who has interfered in things that had nothing to do with him. Someone who has used his valet Michael Fawcett as the fall guy in order to take the blame for his misconduct and a man who has received suitcases full of cash from someone who's countrys human rights record is abysmal.

His son William the next in line has according to reports already followed in his fathers footsteps by also refusing to be the first Prince of Wales to not have a mistress.

It's popcorn time for republicans.

It is okay with most reasonable folk.  There are some monarchy supporters who still have not got over what happened to Princess Diana.  And there are  the  sad anti monarchist who will use the title of the wife of the King as an excuse to criticise the monarchy.

Irish republican terrorists murdered Lord Mountbatten who was the Great Uncle of King Charles.  Prince William never met Lord Mountbatten because he was murdered by the IRA three years before he was born.

How utterly heartless of Bucky Palace to announce the ennoblement of Camilla to Queen, so soon after the recent death of the true queen...

...aka Lily Savage.

Paul O'Grady or Lily Savage was never a fan of royalty anyway, but had the good upbringing to remain polite and I think he got on with Camilla..

They were thrown together because of their love of dogs, which was the main driving force in Pauls life.

Paul was always a supporter of those at the bottom and not those at the top.

Obsessed aren't you?

Personally I was more concerned by the deaths of  Nicholas Natchbull 14 and Paul Maxwell 15 who were totally blameless innocents although I'm sure you regard them as less important.

Limited sympathy for Mountbatten who the FBI revealed to be a pedophile .https://www.irishcentral.com/roots/history/lord-mountbatten-pedophile-allegations

Why does anyone who is anti-monarchist automatically get described as sad in your eyes?

You would do well not to keep stirring up feeling regarding the IRA too, when everybody else is trying to keep the peace.

It's sad that someone has got to be a grown man without realising that other people have a right to a point of view too.
