Yes I know, but as I said he wasn't a one trick pony. Apparently he was quite a good footballer as well. Bit of a golden boy in fact 😀

I was at The Locarno ballroom one  Friday night. This man got hold of my arm and made me sit down with him in the chairs surrounding the dance floor. I wondered why lots of men were coming up to him asking for his autograph. When I asked why he said “ It’s because I play football” I said “ Oh, do you play in Longley Park ? He said no, I play for Sheffield Wednesday. He said if you want to come and see me tomorrow,you can come in for free, then afterwards you can come down and see me in the dressing room. I said “ No thanks, I don’t like football!”  I often wonder to this day,who he was !
