Guest makapaka Posted April 16, 2023 Share Posted April 16, 2023 I don’t have any issue with their right to protest. on the way in most stood silently holding their placards - fair enough. some shouted “shame on you” at me. I’m not particularly bothered by that either - some might be. trying to get the national cancelled and having horses that were primed to run then forced off the track and then re-mounted was probably stressful and confusing for the horses. Aside from the detriment to the event itself. the owner of Hill Sixteen believes this directly contributed to the horses death - I don’t know if that’s true or not but it won’t have helped put it that way.
