well what a shower of idiots protesting at the greatest horse race on earth, did you really think you silly little student types would be allowed to get away with halting this great race? no chance it was good to see that the police and racegoers and security were not being soft , i hope they are all nursing some injuries and bruises today.

the irony is you probably caused some of the horses more stress with the small delay you caused and also contributed to the sad fact that some of the runners fell badly and had to be put down. hope you are all proud of that today.

Given the publicity highlighting the issue they were protesting, and subsequent discussion... it doesn't look like it failed.

It looks like it achieved exactly what it was supposed to achieve.

heroic protest, on similar lines to the suffragettes, it's really brought the brutal reality of horse racing to the headlines.

A prerequisite of killing anything is that it must be alive prior to it’s death.

Why is there so much compassion for glamorous racehorses when most people will kill a spider or fly without a second thought.

Are you suggesting we should kill racehorses without a second thought?

Sounds like a backwards step

Those who use animals as playthings are having their perverted hobbies severely curtailed,

what a bag of bol

Suffragettes

Tried to set fire to a theatre with the PM in it

Threw hatchets at the same PM in public

Threw acid at MPs

Attacked Winston Churchill with a whip

Cut telephone wires

Smashed up galleries

Jumped in front of the kings horses and died as a result

Just stop oil / Extinction rebellion

Sit in the middle of a road

Jump on a snooker table and threw a small bag of powder paint nicked from a kindergarted

Laid down in front of a jump at a race meet

these protestors today are nothing in comparison to Pankhurst et al. Just a set of bored rich kids and oldies with nothign better to do and no point to their actions.

I dont see any racing stopped or curtailed by these idiots, should have just let the race go ahead, see how long Tarquin stayed on the course with 40 horses bearing down on him.

If they want comparing to the suffragettes then go get yourself killed on a race track or go attempt to blow up a theatre.

No ! Definitely not.

But why different degrees of compassion for different creatures.

Then perhaps you were suggesting that people who kill a spider or fly without a second thought are wrong headed.

With that I agree. I put them outside.
