All in favour of that, along with a reduced field. As for banning it, this would take an Act Of Parliament, however neither of the major parties appear to be interested.

I think the fact that 3 horses had to be destroyed was a much more eloquent statement against the Grand National than the protesters achieved.

Exactly.

I know it had no effect on the heartless who believe their enjoyment comes first but,

More and more are turning against it and it's days are numbered.

One horse died in the actual main race, the other 2 died in earlier races.

I would volunteer ab6262 to be the first gladiator in the arena but I don't think he would give us much sport.

Probably show us how to run like an Olympian, but that's all.
