The event is sponsored by Cazoo, who sell/lease (?) cars. Its why they picked an Everton game to tie themselves to the goal posts. They should burn their clothes and phones first Oh I agree, there is a huge level of hypocrisy. Exactly the same with the horse protestors. They will be absolutely nowhere near Cheltenham today. Well it does highlight how you and these protesters aren't so dissimilar at all, just a different level of conviction (and cognition obviously)

It's only a matter of time, when you are losing, that you start thinking of violence. I'll bet you won't be the guy that does it though in case they do it back. I think you are fo rgetting the $64,000 point. These pepeole are : 1 - acting illegally and 2 - Seriously inconveniencing other people Not only are they undemocratic they are also selfish, they deserve a kicking. >>I'll bet you won't be the guy that does it though in case they do it back.<< I tell you if, for example, I was going to miss my flight for our family holiday because of them I would be mad as hell. I am surprsed more of them haven't been subjected to violence. >>when you are losing<< Who is "losing" ? Ironically the environmental extremists are winning because they are already in power and there is no alternative on offer to the electorate. Bearing in mind getting to nett zero by 2050 (having banned internal combustion cars by 2030) is already beyond the limits of what is possible so what they are asking for is UTTERLY ludicrous. Thus what they are doing is a COMPLETE waste of everyone's time. Edited April 19, 2023 by Chekhov

Thus what they are doing is a COMPLETE waste of everyone's time. You're rambling again. People act illegally all the time nowadays and the law ignores it. You are entitled to get mad as hell but don't start encouraging violence or that makes you worse than them. You ARE losing, as you explain yourself, in the next 2 sentences. What they are doing is attracting attention, and they've got yours already so, not a waste of time at all. I can see you are angry though - good job they weren't wearing Covid masks too and offering jabs.

The electorate of this country are losing, yes I agree with you. But, as I said, that makes all these disruptive protests completely pointless. What exactly are they hoping to achieve ? Accelerating an already impossible timetable to ban petrol and diesel cars by 2030 ?

To repeat what I said earlier on another topic....petrol and diesel cars are not banned by 2030.
