Welsh Labour Wants To Hand £1,600-A-Month To Young Migrants

Recommended Posts

The Government would effectively be paying them both living costs and lawyers' fees to prevent them from being deported.

Asylum seekers in Wales will get a £1,600 monthly payout in Wales under plans put together by Labour. Young migrants would receive universal basic income, without being deprived of legal aid under the plans. The Government would effectively be paying them both living costs and lawyers' fees to prevent them from being deported.

THREE members of Welsh Labour have signed a letter sent to the Justice Minister, it would still need to get through Whitehall, which i doubt.

Benefits are meant to be a stop gap

To support people who have fallen on hard times so in theory those people have paid taxes

The people arriving by boat havent paid anything into the system

Many of them have no education, no skills and lots cant even speak English

So they will drain our country not add to it

Thats for British citizens  and 25k would be a lot more than they would get in their own country .  By the way a lot of people on benefits get no  where near 25k

Wouldn't a lot of it be for housing?

There's a lot of UK citizens who haven't paid into the system too.

Didn't thirteen years of Conservative Government fix that?

There will always be sick people that cannot work, or do you think David Cameron's policies failed?
