SCM1
As above, came home to flat after being out, had air purifier on, micro on stand bay and that's it in kitchen, been power outage on whole kitchen power ring, nothing coming on on at all. Went to fuse box, flipped switch that had tripped, switch it back on all items are working again, kettle, toaster, washing machine, Micro just dead, switched fuses/sockets, just nothing. I spoke to the HA repair team, and they said probably the Micro had flipped power as no other power outages in bloc. Strangely, only this week, they has been out to fix the switch on wall for washing machine, and sorted that. I read online there is a GFCI Outlet breaker, is that the switch I just mentioned earlier? tx
fools
have you tested it in a known working socket, with a known working fuse, and proved other devices work in the original socket Edited April 19, 2023 by fools
SCM1
Yes, i really don't think the microwave tripped the power supply and it was frazzled, i think the power supply surge tripped and frazzled my microwave. HA say they are not responsible, nice, it was an expensive Samsung one Edited April 20, 2023 by SCM1

HA say they are not responsible, nice, it was an expensive Samsung one Why do you think a fault in the microwave oven could not trip your supply? GFCI's are more commonly called RCD's in the UK, and a fault in the microwave could easily trip the RCD. Why do you think you had a power surge? SCM1
There was no power to anything in the kitchen and the fuse switch for kitchen had flipped in the fuse box
HeHasRisen
Yes, that could have been caused by the microwave malfunctioning. Was no other switch tripped? Edited April 20, 2023 by HeHasRisen

HeHasRisen
In which case its been caused by something in your kitchen. More than likely, something in the microwave.
