Life can still be enjoyed.

It can. just not as much.......

It might not be so enjoyable when we're banned from jetting off on holiday though ! Many people look forward to travelling when they retire, but all the Nett Zero zealots will say is so tough **** mate, go to Skeggy instead ! !

Covid knocked us back as it did in every country in the world.

A lot of people suffered through losing loved ones but there are some who claim they suffered because they couldn't enjoy their favourite pastimes.

They didn't suffer at all, their lives were affected temporarily and they are more or less back to normal now. All that's needed is to get over it and enjoy life again.

Listening to this, it seems amazing that many people sailed through Covid and saw it as an inconvenience which needed to be tackled with a bit of spirit,

World War 2 spirit if you like, where instead of blubbering about it, people just got on with it and made the best of a bad job.

If it's the governments high handed actions that bothered you most, it should have taught you not to let the government abuse it's powers.

We don't live in Russia or North Korea so we are allowed to make our feelings felt without getting shot.  Why not just stop moaning and stand up for yourself for a change.

So strange that when people do stand up against the government, this lot on here then call them down and take the governments side.

Can't have it both ways.

What will this mean for immigration I wonder.

Those who resent the immigrants, will be able to say   "At least they won't be able to enjoy themselves whilst they're here"

You're wasting your time with you logic and reasoning.

Best just leave him to it and wind himself up.

I've invested in a lot of things over the years.

Property is always a safe bet on a renters market and in Sheffield it's rich pickings with so many students

I bought a fair bit of bitcoin at £16k

Also I have bought a lot of gold...not actually good but gold stocks

And yet 18 months ago you were saying you couldn't afford to live in Park Hill flats 😁

Maybe they could open mass amusement parks near industrial centers, for the workers who need a fortnight's break from the daily grind?

Ration overseas holidays, air travel, cars, housing to those that really "deserve" them.

Like the "powers that be"!  :)

In a socialist/communist society one should know their "place"! For the "good" of the State!

Just who do you think you are?  :)

Just another con man.  The forums full of them.

I've already explained that comment

During COVID instead of just sitting around all day I took a job delivering vehicles to essential workers

The pay was terrible but I have to be doing something I can't just sit around all day

My point was that if I had to pay to those fees then it would actually cost me to do the job and I couldn't afford to just be shelling out money during a Pandemic

So I'd have to quit the job

You probably dont understand because you don't have a job

You are full time Sheffield Forum sheriff aren't you?

Loser

Although you find it annoying, I wonder why you think, that you are different from everyone else and should be allowed to have everything you want.

Why not?  :)

If you work hard in a productive enterprise, and create some product or service that people are happy to buy, and create jobs?

Why should some "powers that be" be allowed to decide that you must be satisfied with the same standard of living as the guy next door who doesn't have to get up in the morning, and has all his daily needs met by the productive taxpayer?

The anti-monarchist rile against the privilege of a few royals, but accept the rationing of life's rewards by privileged bureaucrats.  :)

The difference being that there are millions who can't quit the job because they can't manage already and wonder where their rent/ gas  / food is coming from.

Despite that, instead of feeling empathy, you side with the government and say, Don't give them a raise.

At least, you know now that ordinary people have got pressures that affect their lives and which they can do little about - not even resigning.

I always welcome the insult from you as I realise it's token acknowledgement that you always lose our exchanges.   winner

The conditions you mention are nothing new, it has always been the same.
