HeHasRisen
"The minimum sentence Pearson could have received was 25 years due to his prior convictions of aggravated robbery and continuous family violence" Even 25 years seems harsh.
Axe
He can have no complaints. There is no point in having a three strikes and you're out policy if it is not implemented.
Al Bundy
That's ridiculous. Got 5 years written all over that crime. There has to be more to it than spitting, surely?

I would've thought so. The article says: "The minimum sentence Pearson could have received was 25 years due to his prior convictions of aggravated robbery and continuous family violence" Don't get me wrong spitting at someone is an utterly vile thing to do, and he sounds like a real nasty piece of work, but I agree 70 years does seem excessive.
hackey lad
Everything in Texas is bigger. Even prison sentences. Good
HeHasRisen
Also that article seems to suggest the jury decide the sentence. That doesn't sound sensible whatsoever.
