Many places wrestle with striking the right balance of a good pedestrian environment with reasonable access to public transport. Bradford are proposing to pedestrianise most of their city centre core which means many bus routes and stops are relocated to the peripheral route. Bus operators aren’t thrilled with it and discussions are ongoing.

We have a silly situation now with buses doubling back on themselves along Division Street and strangely enough stopping bang outside the council's new pet toy, the outdoor playground. What a coincidence! 🤔 It's cars that need to be banned from Surrey Street/the side of the Lyceum. It's a nightmare trying to cross from the mini Interchange going towards the Sexual Health Clinic. Odd how that's the building you chose to reference. Something you want to tell us?

Well it is the first thing you see when you cross from the Interchange...that and the law firm whose name evades me. 16 minutes ago, MJ01 said: Cars definitely pull out quicker than pedestrians round there It's an absolute nightmare, made worse by the scaffolding/building blocks, crossing that entire stretch of road is tricky. They know that people scrutinise everything they say, so why would they lie about asking the government to defer or not impose the CAZ? If they hadn’t asked and were doing it because they thought it was the right thing, I’d expect they’d say so. Because that is their nature... need I say "tree felling"?
