Castle House Co-Op Closing Down

Recommended Posts

You want a pub in the market?  That's not going to happen. There is already an outlet that sells beers from around the world.

And there used to be a Crawshaws (the naff one) about 50 yards from the front door. Guess what? It shut down, I think along with the rest of them.

The t'other Crawshaws really isn't going to add anything to what's already there.

I’ve inadvertently ended up in a wrong part of London, and immediately realised my error. IMHO Sheffield has never had any ‘no go’ areas, you can run across the wrong folk anywhere, I recall a self proclaimed Manor born hard man having a pop at me in a pub in S17, I don’t know what surprised him more, the smack in the mouth or my Manor birth place. 😉

Manor Park?????

Trust me, it was there for years. Down near where the Greggs and Pound Bakery are.

Don't believe me?

Oh yes, there used to be a handsome young man outside heckling the offers and touting for business. I forgot all about that store. It was no good to me as a vegetarian, but it always seemed popular. The one in Hillsborough always has a queue.

Now closed. There were never many reasons to be in that part of town what with it being filthy and having undesirable people, but now there is one reason less. They did however have some good discounts on fresh & chilled produce on the Friday which I took advantage of.
