Today's programme,  a lady called Olly sold her late husband's programmes for £4,600

took home £3, 400 approx.

Programmes from both Sheffield teams.

If she sold them for £4,600 why did she only take home £3,400.   On her way home did she call in a boozer and go on a right bender or summat.  :hihi:

Auction fees, mate. Programmes like Bargain Hunt conveniently forget these fees exist. This programme though is transparent.

OK,  I wouldn't have known because I don't watch it.

Auction houses take hefty cuts. In this instance the hammer went down on 4600 and the amount after fees was 3772, Cressida got the second number slightly wrong. Thats 18% taken off, a standard auction sellers fee.

Couldn't quite catch the last amount as it went off-screen too quickly,  so I typed approx.
