The only reason justified for driving Princess Diana at high speed would have been a  potential terrorist attack or a kidnapping attempt like what happened to Princess Anne.  It was a tragedy that Princess Diana died in those circumstances at only 36 years of age.

Pretty much agree. In Diana's case she probably knew her driver was drunk and chose to be driven, and she definitely knew to wear a seatbelt but chose not to.

Princess Diana would not have known the driver was over the alcohol limit.  Princess Diana would have trusted her boyfriend to provide appropriate security and protection which he failed to do.

I doubt she had ever spoken to the driver and would have had no idea he was unsuitable to drive the car.  Many people do not wear seat belts in the back of a car. Our prime minister was recently fined for failing to wear a seat belt.  The person to blame for the death of Princess Diana is Dodi Fayed because he was calling the shots on that tragic night in Paris.
