I'm just perplexed by the amount of people who seemingly cannot find ANY employment. its not a difficult thing to do. Maybe it's got much harder in the last 7 years. I don't know because I'm retired but things do change. I wouldn't worry about it.
Hanzo
I think the problem comes to that the majority people in the majority of circumstances can’t live off of minimum wage and that these people are more then likely not applying to minimum wage positions. i personally consider myself very fortunate to be able to have been hired for every job I’ve applied to because for a lot of people that isn’t always the case and it gets annoying after a while

A lot of minimum wage jobs come with built in problems and uncertainties, like 0 hour contracts and short termism that is difficult to live with and budget around. When it takes up to 6 weeks of living on fresh air before benefits kick in, how many times can you afford to be in this position before serious debt becomes a problem? Taking a job can be a risk, because some jobs are seriously just not worth having, but living on benefits is soul destroying. Hence our problems with mental health.
