Seriously, I understand what they're trying to achieve but the 99.9%  are just fed up with their stunts which achieve nothing.  Did they get their message across at any stage?  No! 

The woman who glued herself to the wall... I don't even get her argument. She said, people can't afford fuel anymore, they can't afford to heat a tin of soup...

 

so stopping fossil fuels is going to help that... how?

Prison should be a lesson for them. Give them Heinz soup everyday... cold, and tell them, they use gas and electric in the kitchens - both of which are powered by fossil fuels in the UK. Perhaps better still, throw it in their face and tell them that they now know how art feels!

I'd be curious where they think all the electricity is going to come from if we close the fossil fuel based power plants?
Right now, only 51% of electricity is being generated by "green" energy (https://grid.iamkate.com/ ), and that's probably only because there's a big storm blowing through overnight.

 

Close down the fossil fuel plants and these people will have no way to charge their phones so they can order more oil derived high-vis vests, or heat their vegan bacon, and factories definitely won't have the power to create more superglue for them.
