Well to get rid of the guns you need to get rid of the causes...

Can't get rid of religion though can we.

Plenty have tried, but it just keeps coming back stronger, which says something about the Human spirit. 

Re; Men with guns; It's the Politicians with very big guns that do the most damage. The first world war was the turning point when they invented bigger and better methods for exterminating people en masse.

That was the time to think about what they'd done and do away with war, but instead they went into an arms race, and began spending exorbitant amounts of money on it.

We should have insisted that politicians lead their troops into battle instead of sitting on the hill.

 

Just think what the world could be like if all those swords were turned into ploughshares. 

War has no place in a civilised world. And to make the world more civilised we need more equality and women in charge (and not women who have to act like men....)
