mancmart
Noticed big tents being set up for a private festival with titles "Sumofest23" When I asked the security guard about it, he said it's for a private festival conducted by a corporate company. I think it's a bit rich when a bog public space can be used by private business, and the public aren't allowed to get involved.

It's not a festival it is infact a clever ruse by a family of travellers to take over the land and remain 'In plain sight' without the traveller hating bigoted locals noticing. One assumes they will be paying for the privilege to be there and the money will be pumped back into parks and countryside. The same park has this on next month... https://www.sausageandciderfest.co.uk/sheffield Not much different really is it, a private enterprise booking space in a public park. The big tents aren't taking up all the park either btw. It's not even on the main bit up near the cafe, it's the small bit at the bottom. For one day. The sausage festival is open to the public. The other one isn't. It's a public space and should not be hired out for profit unless the public are allowed to contribute/enjoy.
