Cpt Tom's Daughter Accused Of Using Charities Name.

Recommended Posts

Fuss about nothing.  No allegations of using money raised for charity to build the swimming pool.  Who cares about how planning consent was obtained, The daughter helped Captain raise over £38 million for the NHS and deserves to receive an honour rather than be criticised.

More effort should have been  made to use facing bricks and roof tiles  to match the main house.

If you buy land then you should be able to do whatever you want with it

It's insane that other people get to say what you build on your property

It depends where the land is located.  If it is in a conservation area any building or extensions normally have to fit in with the surrounding architecture.  Regarding Captain Tom's daughter new building I suspect those complaining are doing so because they are jealous as the surrounding properties look a bit rough from the aerial picture.

Other people have to look at it and also face  loss in value of their own properties if you build an eyesore.

That's why we have planning laws to stop the small percentage of selfish idiots ruining everything.

Wouldn't you mind if they decided to build a mosque, food kitchen or drug treatment centre,  next door to you, and you had no say in it?
