Chekhov
In this supposedly free country of ours there are more and more businesses telling their customers how they should think and what moral positions they should hold, or they will not deal with them. A total inversion of the usual (and correct) mantra that it is the customer is king and always right. After all they are the ones paying the bills. Of course the ultimate irony is that most of the customers these businesses are discriminating against do not hold extreme views at all, they are actually the kind of views that most people in this country hold. Anyway here is the current list (since this cannot be edited for long it will be added to as time goes on and placed towards the end of the thread. Metro Bank (refused an account to a gender critical parents group) PayPal (closed the accounts of "Us For Them" and the "Free Speech Union", both critical of lockdowns) Wickes (trans-critical shoppers 'are not welcome in our stores') Yorkshire Building Society (closed the account of a Vicar who disagreed with them promoting LGBT ideology) Most of these links will be to the Daily Mail because they do not have a paywall. Yes, it has our wesbite address on it, though, compared with our relatively high ranking on search engines I cannot think it achieves very much. Guest
I wonder what's going on here: RBS closes gender equality campaigner’s bank account. Quote A women’s rights and gender equality campaigner is having her bank account shut without explanation, her family said last night. Professor Lesley Sawers, 64, the Equalities and Human Rights commissioner for Scotland, has been with the Royal Bank of Scotland, a subsidiary of the NatWest Group, for 32 years. However, two weeks ago, she and husband, Allan McKechnie, were told that their joint account, containing thousands of pounds, would be shut next month. In a letter, RBS said that it would be ceasing its “banking relationship” with the couple and they would have to make other banking arrangements “outside of the Natwest group”. RBS added that it was “not able to discuss this decision with you or provide you with any further information in relation to our decision-making”. ... Sawers has been in her role since 2016. She has not been involved in any controversies but the role deals with women’s and LGBT rights. McKechnie, a private pilot from South Ayrshire, said that they had spoken to another bank about an account only to be told that Sawers has a “mark against her name”

Thats modern liberalism They think they are virtuous and intelligent and everyone else are just the knuckle dragging mob who needs to be told what to think, what to say and how to think And they will use any means possible to achieve their cult like ideology Even if it involves violence They're the real fascists and that's why people keep rising up and telling them no We will not be preached to or bullied Bud Light found that out the hard way Edited July 5, 2023 by Jack Grey

How dare you post a link in here that totally contradicts the point Chekhov is trying to make. Very unthoughtful. 10 minutes ago, Chekhov said: Metro Bank (closed the accounts of a gender critical parents group) Is this lie going to be edited? HeHasRisen
Just now, Chekhov said: I have done but it's not really that significant is it. Of course it is. Its no different to you or me deciding to initially bank with Natwest instead of HSBC. Free choice. Works both ways.
