Why should anyone have to report it, it should be routine maintenance. Cuts in LA funding over the last 13 years mean LA's up and down the land don't do routine maintenance any more. Anyone actually reported the drain being blocked? Hope it's on double yellows because it's well nigh impossible to clean drains with the volume of parked cars these days. Instead of people reporting them what about a planned programme of maintenance.

Sure - now we only need to get HMG to reinstate the billions they've cut from LA funding over the last 13 years.

Councils are terribly wasteful organisations, blaming lack of funding is just an easy excuse, you don't put a set of useless steel cabins in a city centre with no plan of how to use them if your that short of funds, it would be bottom of a very long list.

jane2008
The drains on the side of our road were cleaned this morning which is good. What is not so good is that it was 6.15 am
mickf
Drains used to be cleaned out on a rota with road sweeping. Can any council afford to do that now? The only time you see a gully cart is after a flood. The sweeper we get around our way carries on even when full, throwing dust into the air and leaving a trail to show where he has been.
