Teachers are too busy striking for more money and more time off

They just had 2 years off on full pay

Even talking about Covid,  your right wing Tory side comes into play.

People are allowed to strike if their pay drops behind and I haven't heard of teachers having 2 years off on full pay..

Any teachers on here to confirm that because we know Grey likes to make his stories up as he goes along ?

Why do you begrudge everything for other people ?  We pay out taxes as we should without crying about it..

Typical tory selfish get.

I seem to recall, not so long ago, many right wingers in the Brexit debate before the referendum, were quick to point out to those on the remain side of the debate, that the British were famed for 'getting on with it', that if hard times arise after Brexit, well we would show that 'Dunkirk spirit' which saw us through World War 2.

It now seems that hard times have arisen because of Covid, all of a sudden various members of the right are wetting their knickers.

It's almost as if the the only people who should just 'get on with it', and show 'Dunkirk spirit' are the lower orders.

The summer  six weeks holidays are far too long so should be cut to two weeks.

Schools get essential maintenance and refurbishments done during the six week break, scrap that and it would never happen.

Don't really understand why the Covid thread was locked, there's a hell of a lot of this scam to be unpicked yet.

Dodgy PPE contracts, fraudulent claiming of business grants, the track and trace system, friends in very high places.

Surely you can continue to unpick it by way of conversation with your family, work colleagues, social circles, down the pub just like the good old days.

Probably more rewarding and informative than any online exchange of views.

You have that the wrong way around.

"Getting in with it, the Dunkirk spirit" means staying as close to normal as possible no matter what.

The very opposite of what we did during Covid.

TBH I think it's unfair that those of us who were never in favour of suppressing society and the economy are suffering just as badly from its damaging side effects as those who were in favour of it.
