I didn't say that the damage would be repaired! Lol.

You could offer them the use of Padders bar. Or you could host your own festival.

This seems like a suitable excuse to remind everyone... ... that the forum's very own entertainment artistes, The Baubles, will be appearing tomorrow at Padders Bar for a special one-off musical performance for a very special person! Everyone is welcome to join in the celebrations!

HeHasRisen
Not quite as bad as Hillsborough but the lower field at Norfolk Park has been damaged by a load of vehicles driving on it to erect/dismantle the infrastructure for a couple of concerts the weekend just gone.... @bassett one would you be happy with this happening in your local park every other week, or should they stick to the ones miles away from you? During May and June my lawns were turning brown even though I'd use the sprinkler. This month I'm sick of mowing them, their a lovely lush green, the grass must grow a good couple of inches a week.....
mrsb73
If you are a grass roots team or any other sports group displaced by the out of use Hillsborough Park don't bother going along to Coronation Park in Oughtibridge, apparently the locals don't like to share! It has been brought to the Parish Council’s attention that teams are carrying out football training sessions in Coronation Park at Oughtibridge. We understand that some of these sessions are being carried out due to Hillsborough Park being closed. Coronation Park has a strict policy that no organised ball games/training sessions can take place, this is due to the damage that can be caused to the park and the limited green space which does not lend itself to being cordoned off. The Parish Council do have an area that is suitable for football games/training at Dungworth, please contact the office for more details.
