Gosh it was over 50 years ago,  before it became the Carousel in Chapeltown, don't even remember its name.

 

As you entered the bar, turned right down a longish corridor into a large (empty) lounge style room.

 

IIRC  you pressed a buzzer on the wall and the barman came and took your order.

 

I was 16 at the time, convinced myself I loved beer ( it tasted awful) however 50 years on and Im still drinking it and I love it.

The Carousel used to be the Midland.
