It's just progress

I haven't used a ticket office for well over 5 years

I user the Trainline app

Some can't see it.

Only time I've used one is when purchasing a ticket type which isn't available online ,  such as 'Rover' ones.

I use that if my journey involves long distances/changes, otherwise I go direct to the TOC's site - you don't pay 'booking fees' that way.

it isn't - people currently have a choice, and some choose the kiosk for good reason. even when booking online, I collect from the kiosk, because it's faster and less faff

and pay booking fee on top?

But most the time the app gives you the best fair so you save money

The fee is around £1 per booking

So you don't use e-tickets? - even faster.

Using a crystal ball, now?

No, but we do learn from the past and have experience and hindsight.

We know what usually happens in these situations.

Come on .... We know we are lied to on a regular basis to make the unacceptable palatable.  Then when the deed is done they move the goalposts and do what they wanted in the first place.
