Could change headlight bulb on most old cars in 2 minutes.  On many modern cars, the job is extremely difficult and could take all morning.

Manufacturers want us to use their servicing agents for everything.

Trading Standards (if available) would probably ask whether Customer Complaints Procedure had been followed.

Not sure what 'Payment Assist' is, but if paid by credit card Section 75 could have been invoked.

Same happened to me.Peugeot garage at Heeley cost £70 for re gas  lasted one hour no refund.

Light bulbs, wipers, simple stuff is often changed at the shops. Bigger jobs at the Autocentres. Find the shops OK. Used autocentre once, everything about it was a bad experience, will never use again.
