It was far better as a city-wide festival. Loved that Weston Park bandstand was used, and the Folk Forest section in Endcliffe Park. Remember the free bus that took you around and had live acts playing on it? Now you're a prisoner in Stalag Hillsbro'. Their prices, their food. Can't wander in and out. Can't bring your own picnic. Unless it's a really major act that I want to see, Hillsborough can shove it. It's more fun wandering the Fringe in the city centre. Certainly more in the spirit of the original festival. 2
HeHasRisen
I did like that in reply to one Tweet on Saturday from someone moaning that the site was opening late, they suggested that they fill the time going to visit the bars and cafes in Hillsborough. Aye, like they give a stuff about those places the rest of the time.

Kelham Island is probably the best place to be during Tramlines now It's got everything you need from great music, food and booze Unfortunately I missed it this year but will try for next year

rogets
They need to turn the volume down as I could not hear myself think. I was in town on saturday and there was loud music and people consuming alcohol, it was a shocking 17 minutes ago, Jack Grey said: Kelham Island is probably the best place to be during Tramlines now NOt for those people who want a quiet drink

That it was spread over a number of different venues? I always thought that was good, and reduced the sort of problem's they're having at Hillsborough. 4 hours ago, wearysmith said: Agreed. Pyrotequila
Nice to see people enjoying themselves regardless of the weather, but damn that park must look like a bomb site today after this; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PmfGYvoB_o0
