I accept that's possibly the case. But when it does shouldn't these straight white men have the same protection under the law as protected groups?

Hate crimes (I believe) come with harsher punishments. Fine. I accept that. But if a straight white man is assaulted for being a straight white man then shouldn't that be a hate crime?

You've just repeated what I responded to, most are not attacked for being straight white males, they are just attacked.

Hate crimes have what is called aggravating circumstances, something extra.

Generally crime wise the attacker in most cases would be charged with the crime mugging, robbery, ABH, GBH etc

Ok I'll bite, the context in why they are assaulted is the point.

Its not normally down to targeted hate, it's usually down to

Drunken stupidity

Arguements over pints, women, taxis

 Wrong place wrong time

Muggings, robbings

It probably happens occasionly but they aren't generally attacked for being straight white men.

So no, I didn't.

Anyhow, I'm off to bed now. Seems I've worn out my welcome tonight.

If you cannot find one then it does not happen.

Regardless of what may be written it's you who misses the point. This is about privilege,  the fact you can't show a single instance shows straight white men do not have this privilege.

Show me just one and I'll happily concede and accept I'm wrong.

Your original argument was that people have additional rights - that’s not true.

now you want to look at the number of prosecutions to evidence that people have different rights.

Everyone has the same rights - if there are examples of white men being victims of hate crimes that were not prosecuted then that is wrong - are there any you are aware of? I wouldn’t have any problem with a white male who has been a victim of hate crime getting justice.

you can’t use the absence of prosecution as evidence of different rights.

do women have more rights in sexual abuse cases because there’s a disproportionate amount of women convicted of them then men?

rights are rights - my personal

view is that you probably don’t hear of as many white male cases cos they’re less prevalent - just my opinion - if they are just less reported then it hasn’t taken away their rights to do so.

Daddy, I have to say this,

I've booked a front place seat tonight at the Sheffield Forum Theatre.

The star act was "The Daddy"

Now I've seen "The Daddy" perform many times in the past, and I've always enjoyed a rib tickling performance.

I have to say that tonights act wasn't up to the high standards  I expect.

Having said that, anyone can have a below performance, and I will certainly be attending your next show.

Hmmm...

I always thought Mr Daddy performed better as a double act! :hihi:

Could be a changing of the guard Mr. Bloke.

Tommy Cooper was a great act, as was Benny Hill. both got boring.

I reckon the upcoming star of the Forum will be Irene Swain.
