That's a turn up for the books Mr. Risen ?

I've never gone private. Reason I ask is that if private hospitals dont have A&E departments, surely @The_DADDY would have had no choice but to pitch up at an NHS hospital yesterday anyway?

A&E no.

I had access to "Urgent Care Units" which thankfully I rarely needed and for the most part are just the same as NHS Walk in centers.

Any life threatening conditions/illnesses/accidents have to go through NHS A&E

I appreciate the replies from you all.

If I'm honest I expected a bit of stick seeing how I'd berated the NHS so much and now I'm in their debt. Mind you, SF being SF I guess there's still time for that 🤣

Just promise you'll be gentle, I'm a touch fragile tonight 😬

Have a good evening all of you. Off to bed for me I think. 👍

Not at all Daddy.

We know how precious your family is to you,

and appreciate that you are willing to give credit where it's due.

Hope everything goes well for you and your daughter.

Much love xx

According to this website: https://www.medicompare.co.uk/can-i-go-to-private-ae/, there's no provision in Sheffield (from this provider in any case). It also doesn't explain what kind of medical treatment is offered within this provision.

I see, cheers. He was stuck with a NHS hospital then.

Thank you for that Anna. That's appreciated.

She's going into surgery in the next 15 minutes so fingers crossed she'll be all sorted very soon.

For an emergency yes matey, NHS is the only option in England. Not sure about the rest of the UK though.
