Signed just now for a substantial fee

Brazilian midfielder from Belgium club no one’s heard of … now for Hamer who is left out of Coventry s squad and did not travel for tonight’s match

What counts as substantial? One man’s substantial is another man’s peanuts.

Seen Hamer a few times for Coventry , he looks capable of cutting it in the prem.Fingers crossed on that 1

More claptrap. Hamer is in the starting lineup.

Substantial in Sheffield club terms I assume. The highest fee ever paid for a player by Sheffield Wednesday was £10.53 million for Jordan Rhodes.

United have paid more than that for several players, but so what? In comparison to the 'Big Clubs' both Sheffield clubs are not at the races.

The game is now a business, and no longer a sport where clubs can compete with some chance of equal success.

In that regard the Championship is a far more genuinely competitive division.
