Emergency Operators Are Warned To Ask Callers How They Want To Be Referred To

Recommended Posts

This is a media wind up...isn't it?

I've not clicked any links as it seemed too stupid to be true.

Mind you, I do agree that "The World's gone mad" with all this PC and woke type crap. If you identify as a pineapple, have it bloody tattooed on your forehead so others have a clue what to call you! (not that they'd see it on a phone call)

Why would I be upset ?

I think you two REALLY enjoy winding each other up. Carry on! Not hurting anyone.

I can only speak for myself but I do love our Hackney. He's great and he loves me too. You can tell that by how many times he visits my profile 😁

I've not read the article, but I would imagine that let say women with deeper voices, or men with higher pitched voices may have been misgendered, and referred to by the wrong gender and complained to the service.

Oh dear. I don't know eh.

Didn't read the link

Only skim read my post yet saw fit to comment.

I just don't know what the world is coming to 🙄

I worked in a call centre when i was a student.  A regular female customer had a permanent note on the Home screen of the system, in capital letters: CUSTOMER SOUNDS LIKE A MAN.

If she ever sent a SAR off.....

Subject Access Requeat. Basically anything a company holds on you. That kind of statement about her voice could have led to a complaint had she knows it was there imo.
