A larger percentage of young people don't think the monarchy is important but once they grow up and stop becoming all angry at everything they calm down and realise the monarchy has more benefits to the UK than not.

Not quite there yet, but I reckon I'm angrier now than I was when I was, say, 17.  Probably because I knew **** all when I was 17.

 

ETA: And likely because a good chunk of the world's gone bit a mental of late.
