So is that the Bamford area now getting two brand new late services at the weekend? What was the last bus prior to the new 2300 and 2330 services above?

Last 257 from Sheffield is currently 17:30 and the last 272 from Sheffield is currently 21:20.

This follows on from improvements to the 218 Sheffield to Bakewell via Sharrow, Totley and Baslow, the last bus is now 21:40 (was previously 18:41).

Evening services on these routes are funded by Derbyshire County Council, who successfully bid for government funding for their Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP), unlike South Yorkshire.

Thank you, Andy C, for your regular updates. One day, SYMCA and SCC might see sense and also join this Forum so that they themselves can post information (buses and otherwise)  of use to members.

Why would they do that? It would soon degenerate into farce and insulted constantly as people have off topic  moans about bins and rainbow pedestrian crossings and timing points etc etc.

Er, to tell people what they need to know. Why should Andy C have to do their work for them?

There is no legal obligation for them to join forums and if they did it would go wildly off topic and lead to insults as I described, why would they bother subjecting themselves to it?

Also people would likely moan they are paying someone to post on a forum, they can't win.

Those 'timing points' are decided by the operators, not SYCMA/SCC
