Been quoted at £100,000 to upgrade houses to meet standards, £100,000 is what most people spend on a car, how can people afford that?

Unscrupulous Landlords will find ways round it.

Honest ones will bankrupt themselves trying to comply and probably sell up.

 

So the Law of unintended consequences applies,

Insulate Britain was DEMANDING that the government insulates every home in the UK

 

This policy will pass the responsibility onto landlords and homeowners but the government can take the credit

How about bringing back the net-zero requirement for new housing? Apparentlry some local authorities are bringing this net-zero target forward. The government want buildings to be net-zero by 2050, Gordon Brown brought in the net-zero target, for homes to be net-zero by 2016

These policies are too aggressive

 

No matter what we do in the next 10 years won't make any difference in global emissions

 

What it does is cripple businesses, families and our economy

 

Our eco policies should not be at the detriment of our citizens and their quality of life

 

Unfortunately the modern capitalist policies rely on everyone being in debt

 

And it's the so called anti-establishment left who are driving it forward
