I must have had 10 phone calls from my supplier since last Thursday, I assume it's to try to fit one of those so I don't/wont answer.

I can refuse by not wasting my time answering, if they haven't took the hint from the hundreds of texts and emails they've sent that have been ignored that's their problem.

Don’t be soft, do you actually believe that not answering sales calls is ‘life limiting paranoia’ 🤣

You do know don’t you that telesales staff are trained to try and stop you saying no and will persist? And are therefore a jolly old nuisance if you’re not interested in buying their product or service.  

On your logic, we should also read every marketing email and no one should take up the option of opting out of marketing calls/texts/emails etc.  Because they must be paranoid and they don’t know what’s good for them by refusing to listen to unwanted sales patter 😂

i just want my smart meter to work correctly,  I am rather selective about which sales pitches,/ charities I entertain and I don't tolerate pushy or rude people in person,  or on the telephone.
