I’ve had dogs for most of my life, I don’t agree that breed/size has a bearing on their behaviour, lots of love from loving owners brings forth loving dogs in my experience.

In most cases yes, but unfortunately the type of person that owns a bully or of similar ilk will be mostly a divvy.

The size does matter because I would have no chance of defending myself if one of these brutes decided to try and kill me, but I would fancy my chances against a small dog.

I don’t look at any dog as a ‘brute’, it amuses me when my 14 years old dog runs up to someone for a fussing and they are visibly scared to death, I refuse to put a lead on her just because someone we cross paths with might have a problem with all dogs.

Glad to hear somebody talking sense about dogs.

Absolutely  correct. It's lots of love from it's family and being brought up correctly trained that counts.

As usual there are too many generalisations and myths from some posters.

One of my sons nearly died from a small injury picked up whilst playing with his beloved cat    Hate to think what some on here would make of that.
