Sheffield Wednesday Fc V Middlesbrough Fc

Two sides who look destined for league one next season, not hard to see why, both lack goalscorers, Wednesday dont get enough bodies in the box in attacking situations, quite often theres just one man in there for a forward player to pick out.

As for the  possession based attacking football we were told we were getting, we have the lowest possession stats in the entire division! And Lyle Taylor now on trial who hasnt played for somerhing like 16 months and hes 33 yo.

What kind of message about ambition & squad quality does that project if Lyle Taylor is signed?

Possibly the most underwhelming signing yet.

A 33 year old striker that only netted 7 goals for Forest in 57 appearances, and was released after not playing a single game for them in his last season there.

If that doesn’t smack of desperation & panic, I don’t know what does.

You’d be better off bringing Leon Clarke back.

How’s it go ….”if you want top players you have to pay top prices”….& then we’re bringing in the likes of Lyle Taylor on trial & Ashley Fletcher on loan …

We're the best team I've ever seen at ping-ponging the ball to each other when we're only 2 feet apart. I've no idea what it achieves, but we do it all the time. It's fraught with danger and we lose the ball every single time. We 'play' out from the back with increasing danger and put ourselves in the mire time after time. Teams that CAN play out from the back have some sort of rehearsed strategy. We just 'see how it goes'. It usually goes wrong. Awful to watch. Embarrassing to watch. I'm increasingly unable to watch.

40 quid plus for a matchday south stand seat for a sky match and were bringing in taylor for a trial with all his recent history, yet Rotherham can afford to  take £1M punt on a 24 year old striker with a proven goal history? What message does this send to young cadamateri?  Wouldnt suprise me if he ups and leaves at the end of the season, maybe to Barnsley or rotherham.......

Weve added Luke Dowling to the recruitment staff, a guy with an awful reputation, he was responsible for the break up of WBA youth system, made signings the club are still paying for now and tried to get part of a transfer fee paid into the owners bank account which was investigated by FIFA! under valued player sales ,WBA are still recovering from all his mistakes, he was got rid of by Watford who wouldn't involve him in major transfer decisions and yet DC hires him? So its no wonder weve ended up with taylor on trial.
