I remember that she lived, originally, near the top of the hill gong down from Woodhouse to Intake, I think the lane was the original road to the colliery.

She met Gerald when they both worked at Tungsten Carbide Developments at the old colliery site

I knew Gerald, he lived with his wife across from the bottom of Handsworth Grange Road

Regards - Victor

Correct, off the top of  Coisley Hill, on the left. I think, then, there was a small garage on the other side of the road

I am thinking back to 1963/4

My late father lived on Sheffield Road until abut age 14, (1931) then moved to Market Place

My wife and I left Swallownest in October 1969, for Driffield, near Bridlington, and in January 2007 moved to our present home in Wangsa Baiduri, Subang Jaya, State of Selangor, Malaysia - hot and sunny 365 days a year, and low cost (petrol is equal to UK Pounds 1-50 gallon)

Regards - Victor - (9-13am and already 92 degrees)
